Abstract This article analyzes the socioeconomic situation of nine cities on the frontiers of Bolivia, with respect to population growth, economic dynamics, levels of poverty, access to public services and frontier development policies, which define certain conditions of social welfare and quality of life in each of these border cities. The results of this analysis of statistical data demonstrate that over the last ten years, most of these nine cities have become foci which attract population, where people have opportunities for economic and social insertion.
