Abstract The water crisis in the city of La Paz, Bolivia, from November 2016 to February 2017, forced the operator EPSAS to introduce rationing in 94 neighborhoods in the city of La Paz, which has promoted new behaviors, valuatio ns and consumption of water. The main objective of this work is to reflect upon these changes. The criterion defining the areas of study is the social basin, incorporating the systematic and structured observation of those practices related to the use of water.
