RODRIGUEZ ROJAS, Pedro  and  GARCIA YEPEZ, Janette. Human Communication in the Knowledge Society. Punto Cero [online]. 2013, vol.18, n.27, pp.45-52. ISSN 1815-0276.

Abstract This article reviews several aspects of the communication in our society. Firstly it has to do with human communication as a process of socialization. Second, the role of media and communication, relationship and differences between communication and information, the management of information content, the role of leisure and consumption, social networks and finally the power behind the media : hegemonic thinking. Our major concern has been, and is, what is happening with the knowledge and communication. In our view, both processes have been falling dramatically. We are facing an informed but ignorant and uneducated. We are increasingly connected but not reported, most people try, but we do not know.

Keywords : Communication; Information; Knowledge.
