This article explores the critical importance of statistics in sports training in Bolivia, highlighting its role in indirectly improving sports performance through data-driven decisions. The research focuses on developing statistical analysis skills among sports trainers and students of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences. Through a mixed-methodological approach that combines qualitative and quantitative techniques, the effectiveness of statistics in turning data into applicable information and knowledge is examined. The findings reveal a significant deficiency in statistical training in sports in Bolivia and a correlation between the lack of statistical training and poor performance in international competitions. The implementation of theoretical-practical workbooks emerges as an innovative solution to enhance the understanding and application of statistics, thereby facilitating more effective training strategies and informed decisions. The article concludes by emphasizing the importance of integrating statistics into sports training, not just as an academic discipline but as a practical tool for strategic decision-making and optimizing sports performance.
