Abstract The research was directed to determine the characteristics of the affecti-ve communication in families disjoint, promoting the use of new codes communicative. It is based on a qualitative-quantitative approach, the descriptive level, biographical and analytical, supported in psychological techniques: interview, reagents of communication and family relations-hips, valuing its cohesion and adaptability, and tokens of observation. The analysis of the qualitative data shows family ties devoid of emotional ex-pression, little establishment of standards and rules, resulting in an emotional distancing, presents a deterioration of the personality and subjectivity of the family perception. The investigation showed that the constant communication becomes an essential tool to improve relations.
