Abstract

ALVAREZ MARCO, Ársel Manuel. Types of research in Philosophy for Children. Rev. aportes de la comunicación [online]. 2021, n.31, pp.35-44. ISSN 2306-8671.

Abstract The research carried out aims to show the diversity of research proposals within the field of Philosophy for Children. It is a documentary research biased by exclusive access to open access do-cuments and guided by the objective of presenting research that used different methodologies, and that addressed different modes of thought (as classified within the field of Philosophy for Children). For this we turn to the division between rationalist and empiricist research paradigms, and to the distinction of critical, creative and careful thought modes. The analysis shows that there is a long journey within the field that has led to the consolidation of practices, also showing their effectiveness. It also shows the existence of internal debates that account for its open research fronts. The shortcomings that, at least within the research articles to which we have had access, can be found are not hidden either.

Keywords : philosophy for children; research methodologies; critical thinking; creative thinking; careful thinking.
