Abstract
CADENAS ALEGRIA, OSCAR et al. Detección de la actividad mutagénica en muestras de orina del personal que trabaja en los laboratorios de investigación, servicio y docencia. Rev.Cs.Farm. y Bioq [online]. 2015, vol.3, n.1, pp.47-59. ISSN 2310-0265.
The purpose of this work is to determine the potential mutagenic activ-ity in urine samples of professors, stu-dents and managerial personal from FCFB, who are exposed to different vola-tile organic compounds (VOCs) in their job, this compounds could be extracted by columns of binding resin organic compounds and subsequently detect mutagenic activity using Ames test. In this re-gard, high levels of mutagenic activity (7.5%) (however, in a second confirma-tory sampling were negative), mild mu-tagenicity activity (46.3%) and absence of mutagens(53.7%)were determine in samples collected. Overall, the results indicated thatthe biosafety of learning and researching laboratories from BFCF were the adequate, however, this aspectshould not be neglected and should be periodic monitoring.
