DELGADILLO CAMACHO, Juan Carlos. Project methods, problem solving and problems applied in the teaching-learning process to incentive research. Edu. Sup. Rev. Cient. Cepies [online]. 2023, vol.10, n.3, pp.103-110. ISSN 2518-8283.  https://doi.org/10.53287/zqmt7155zk45j.

There are challenges to teaching-learning methods in the field of dentistry, so this research was carried out at the Faculty of Odontology of the UMSA, with the objective of applying teaching-learning methods that encourage research; among these methods applied were: i) project method, ii) problem-solving method and iii) problem method. In the first instance, students were trained in the management of these three methods, then groups were formed which applied each of the methods on each topic proposed by the students and the teacher. Once the three methods were applied, the works were reviewed and interviews were conducted to find out the students’ opinions on the proposed topic. The results were the following: the project method was the method that the students applied with great ease and enthusiasm. Regarding the problem-solving method, the students had some difficulties since they had little information. Regarding the problem-solving method, this was the one that had the greatest difficulty in applying because the students needed more knowledge of the topic to be discussed. In conclusion, it can be related that the three methods applied improved the teaching-learning process, providing a dynamic that allowed students to become familiar with the research, thus facilitating the completion of future research task including their thesis.
