The Popular and Solidarity Economy is recognized for considering the prosperity of its members as its primary objective. However, the positioning of this sector has not been consolidated. Therefore, the necessity to apply mechanisms to improve their performance, is in force. Therefore in this work a literature review was carried out aimed at developing a descriptive analysis, of the need for clustering in the Popular and Solidarity Economy. Contributing to the discussion on mechanisms that support the strengthening of the sector. Determining the cluster, as a scheme to develop social innovation and generate opportunities for continuous improvement.
