Abstract

The objective of the study was to determine the impact of the use of ICT in the comprehension of English texts in the fifth-grade students of an educational institution in the district of Lurín. This study has a quantitative approach, with an applied experimental level and has a quasi-experimental design. The population consisted of 150 students and the sample was 60 students divided into two groups, a control group and an experimental group. The sampling was non-probabilistic, the technique used for data collection was a survey and as an instrument a knowledge test, which consisted of 20 questions, this instrument was validated through expert judgment. According to the results, the use of ICT had a significant impact on the comprehension of English texts in students in the fifth grade of secondary education.
