Abstract

Physical education favors the progress of physical, conceptual and attitudinal abilities, contributing to the development of motor skills. The objective of this research was to evaluate the effects of a psychomotor skills program in elementary school students. The population consisted of 30 students of the educational center “Fe y Alegría” Nº17 in Lima, Peru. The data collection was carried out with a field design, the technique was the survey and the instrument was the Tepsi Test. The results show an acceptable average value between the pre- and post-test: the study variable obtained an average pre-test score of 31.43; while the post-test was 46.43. These results reflect a significant modification in motor development after applying the psychomotor program. It is concluded that the application of a program influenced the improvement of the psychomotor skills of the students, reaffirming the theoretical and practical value of innovative proposals.
