Abstract

Collaborative work is based on professional training in the health sector, it is a necessary characteristic if the attention is focused primarily on the patient, which develops empathy in the professional with the sole intention of providing comprehensive care to the patient and learning together. The objective of this research was to analyze the contribution of collaborative work to strengthen empathy as part of the health professional’s training. The sources that were verified were Ebsco, Scielo, Dialnet, Pubmet and Google Scholar, 25 studies were reviewed, of which 19 were obtained that met the criteria, the results of which highlight the importance of interprofessional education, collaborative work and empathy. It was concluded that collaborative work as the basis of health professional education strengthens empathy between the medical team and the patient.
