The research establishes the use of WhatsApp as a key element in teaching performance. The objective was to relate both variables through a correlational study. In this case, for the use of WhatsApp, a questionnaire with a total of 20 questions (5 for each dimension of the variable) was used, and in the same way, for the teacher performance variable, both questionnaires were applied to a sample of 24 teachers corresponding to 6 rural schools in the district of Ocaña. Additionally, a significant association between the use of WhatsApp and teaching performance was evidenced, obtaining a coefficient of determination value of 0.6808. In short, by using the WhatsApp application to exchange their educational materials, teachers in the different areas of knowledge strengthen their work in the educational centers that provide services.
