Abstract
MORENO-GUAICHA, Jefferson Alexander and MENA ZAMORA, Alberto. Radiophonic alternative: a proposal to guarantee access to education in times of pandemic. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2022, vol.6, n.24, pp.1215-1232. Epub June 30, 2022. ISSN 2616-7964. https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v6i24.409.
The problems caused by the pandemic have had a significant impact on education, especially in terms of quality and equal access for the most vulnerable sectors. This research analyzed the experiences of radio schools in Ecuador and their potential to guarantee access to education in sectors that face Internet connection limitations in times of pandemic. It is a qualitative research that compiles data from interviews with specialists in the field and members of indigenous communities. The results highlight the significant relationship between difficulties of access to virtual education and historical conditions of injustice. It is concluded that the radio alternative constitutes a practical option to respond to the difficulties of access to virtual education; however, it is recognized that it is neither the only alternative, nor the best, since it implies superficially correcting deficiencies in the system.
