JALIXTO ERAZO, Hans Manuel; PONCE PARDO, John Eloy; CHIRI SARAVIA, Paulo Cesar and ASMAD MENA, Gimmy Roberto. Curriculum by competencies in times of virtuality in university students. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2022, vol.6, n.25, pp.1768-1778. Epub Sep 30, 2022. ISSN 2616-7964. https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v6i25.452.
The purpose of this study was to establish the levels of acceptance of competency-based curriculum design among students at a private university in Lima in times of virtuality. A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out. The sample consisted of 164 students in the first four semesters of the Academic Unit of General Studies. The Curricular Plan 2020 was taken as a reference within a context of virtuality and social isolation at a national level caused by the pandemic. The instrument used was a Likert-type survey. The results showed low levels of acceptance of the curriculum by students in various academic and personal aspects. It was concluded that the curriculum design by competencies obtained low levels of functionality and operability during the virtual context, significantly affecting the teaching-learning process of university students.
