Abstract

CRUZ NIETO, Dante Daniel et al. Return to face-to-face classes and prevention measures during the COVID-19 pandemic in a school in Peru. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2022, vol.6, n.26, pp.1985-1991.  Epub Nov 23, 2022. ISSN 2616-7964.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v6i26.467.

The COVID-19 pandemic showed the situation of education in Peru. For more than 2 years, the lack of technological devices was noted, and when continuing with progressive classes, prevention measures were not adequately followed. The purpose of the study was to demonstrate how prevention measures influence the return to face-to-face classes. A cross-sectional descriptive comparative design, observation and survey techniques and mixed method were used. The sample consisted of 30 students evaluated in two groups. The results determined that 90 % attended class in the third week, 73 % did not adequately comply with the preventive measures in the fourth week and 90 % obtained technological devices for the virtual class. It is concluded that there was an increase in the return to face-to-face classes; however, it is necessary to take into account the prevention measures to reduce contagion.
