Abstract

SOLLER, German Abelardo Unocc. The art of clowning as a strategy for the development of social skills in university students. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2023, vol.7, n.27, pp.493-508.  Epub Jan 09, 2023. ISSN 2616-7964.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v7i27.532.

Clown contributes to the improvement of social skills from a communicative base, the objective is to show if the application of the Clown Workshop improves the "planning skills" in a group of university students. The research had a quantitative applied approach, with a pre-experimental design. The population consisted of university students, and a non-probabilistic intentional sampling was carried out. A survey was used as a technique; the instrument was a Goldstein's social skills evaluation questionnaire. The results showed that the Clown workshop improves Social Skills in a group of university students, who present statistically significant differences (t=10,695 and p= 0,000 <0.05), between the pretest and posttest, being the latter (199.85) the one that obtains a higher mean than the posttest (165.00). Due to this, it is determined that the Clown workshop significantly improves social skills, showing that the students improve their way of communication, how to deal with aggression, and how to act in the face of stress.
