Abstract

The use of technology in the educational field has a marked relationship with the academic performance of students. Therefore, the research aimed to establish the relationship between technological appropriation and academic performance in students of the IES Agropecuario de Coasa. For this purpose, a correlational study was carried out with a sample of 154 students using a survey technique and a 13-question questionnaire for the technological appropriation variable and a 3-question questionnaire for academic performance. The research found that the effective integration of technology in the learning process improves academic performance. Technological adoption and adaptation are also related to better academic performance. Concluding that, effective technological appropriation is achieved when the mobile device becomes a necessity for the learning process.
