VALENCIA, Mary Trinny Flores. Emotional intelligence in pedagogical practice. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2023, vol.7, n.29, pp.1246-1260.  Epub Apr 06, 2023. ISSN 2616-7964.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v7i29.588.

Emotional Intelligence (EI) can be observable from the responses that are emitted through various behaviors, actions, gestures, among other forms of verbal and nonverbal language. The objective of the study was to analyze the influence of emotions and emotional intelligence in the pedagogical practice of the educator to improve the teaching and learning processes. The methodology applied was based on theoretical, documentary and bibliographic analysis, reviewing fifty articles from the Scopus, Scielo, LatinREV databases and various national and international repositories in English and Spanish. The identification, selection and inclusion procedure was carried out systematically using the Mendeley method. From the review carried out, it was concluded that emotional intelligence provides great benefits in pedagogical practice, achieving changes in educational models by integrating the intellectual and emotional areas, where the integral development of students is sought.
