Ethnomathematics is a pedagogical strategy that brings together the conditions for meaningful learning of students by making use of natural and cultural elements of a society. In this sense, the objective of the study was to identify the benefits of ethno-mathematics as a learning strategy for children. The methodology was a bibliographic review of books, journals, reports, and websites that were searched in databases such as Ebsco, Scielo and Dialnet. Likewise, in Google Scholar we found different researches with qualitative and quantitative approach referring to the topic, taking into account at all times search equations and selection criteria. It was concluded that ethno-mathematics is an excellent alternative with inclusive characteristics that allows students to learn from their cultural and social context.
