Abstract

One of the challenges of any educational system is to achieve educational quality; in this scenario, teacher performance is of great importance and is directly related to the quality of learning. The purpose of this study is to analyze teacher performance and educational quality, for this purpose, a bibliographic review was carried out. For the purpose of the search, books, theses, articles from indexed journals, official pages, among others, were consulted, as well as through the platforms Scielo, Redalyc, Scopus, Dialnet, Google Scholar, among others, considering the descriptors: "teaching performance" and "educational quality". From the information analyzed, it is concluded that teaching performance is one of the key factors that contribute to educational quality, it is associated with the professional suitability of the teacher, capacity to generate spaces for the construction of knowledge, as well as permanent training and specialization to respond effectively to the educational demand of a society that is constantly changing.
