Abstract

LINO, Liliana Carmen Carrasco; MACAVILCA, Martín Carlos Aguirre; DIAZ, Omar Eduardo Padilla  and  CAMARGO, Luis Antonio Visurraga. Digital tools for the detection of students at academic risk in schools in Metropolitan Lima. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2023, vol.7, n.30, pp.1649-1662.  Epub July 24, 2023. Academic risk can be understood as the propensity of a student to fail in school, due to multiple intervening factors; however, teachers can mitigate this type of events through their tutorial function. For this reason, the purpose of the study was to learn about the experiences of elementary school teachers from public institutions in Miraflores in dealing with students at academic risk, which consequently led to the main goal of the study, which was to establish a proposal for academic risk management using digital tools. Methodologically, a qualitative perspective was assumed, supported by the hermeneutic method; we worked with teachers, whose answers were collected through a semi-structured interview. The results show a teacher who values positively the digital tools for academic risk management; however, he knows that there is a need to make proposals so that educators with little training in the management of educational platforms can develop it.
