Abstract

The research was conducted with the objective of analyzing the impact of virtual platforms on academic performance in regular public basic education in the city of Pedro Ruiz Gallo, Amazonas, Peru, in the school period 2019 and 2020. The methodology was descriptive, explanatory, with a quantitative study approach, composed with a sample of 321 students between initial, primary and secondary educational level; for data collection a questionnaire was applied. It was obtained as a result that the most used tools by students to acquire knowledge was the cell phone with 77.3%, 55% WhatsApp tools and 66% use virtual platforms, achieving 62% of students to have a good level of academic performance and satisfied with their classes, concluding that academic performance has not been affected by COVID-19 before and after the pandemic.
