Abstract

RODRIGUEZ-BARBOZA, Jhonny Richard et al. Educational innovation in action: digital tools and their impact on the motivation of university students. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2023, vol.7, n.30, pp.1739-1751.  Epub July 24, 2023. ISSN 2616-7964.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v7i30.624.

Post-pandemic education has undergone a significant transformation in the way learning is delivered, moving from face-to-face teaching environments to digital platforms and online tools. The study aimed to describe the impact of digital tools on student motivation in the post-pandemic educational context. To this end, a descriptive non-experimental cross-sectional study was conducted, the sample included 283 participants from various universities in Lima, and the results obtained supported the effectiveness of digital tools in fostering student motivation. It was concluded that digital tools, when used as high-level motivational techniques, can generate greater enjoyment of learning and a sense of reward for the contributions made by students. However, it is critical that teachers avoid falling into traditional didactic approaches and grade delays, as these aspects can have a negative impact on student motivation.
