Providing quality education from a digital perspective, denotes having an online system that allows generating an online communication environment, through collaborative work among students and their relationship with the teacher. Thus, the purpose of this study was to analyze remote teaching as an enabler of public higher education in times of pandemic. The study was conducted under a qualitative, descriptive-analytical approach. The technique used was the interview; the instrument used was a questionnaire with semi-structured questions to 5 teachers and undergraduate students of a private university, and Atlas.ti 9 was used as an analysis tool. The findings were that virtual teaching is linked to technological adaptability and technological accessibility through the interaction of new technologies, mastery of platforms enriching knowledge. It was concluded that remote teaching is the bridge for the use of virtual environments, social networks and digital literacy, which is strengthened by technological tools.
