VALVERDE, Yrma Nelly Yupanqui. Didactic strategies for mathematical problem solving in regular elementary school students. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2023, vol.7, n.30, pp.1903-1916.  Epub July 24, 2023. ISSN 2616-7964.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v7i30.638.

Nowadays, problem solving is one of the major concerns in the area of mathematics, which is a challenge for many regular elementary school students. The objective of this research was to analyze the different pedagogical strategies available for teaching mathematical problem solving to regular elementary school students. For this purpose, a systematic review was carried out, taking into account articles submitted between the years 2017 to 2021; which were obtained from databases such as: Scopus, Scielo, Redalyc and EBSCO. Finally, thanks to the rigorous selection of information, it was possible to conclude that the didactic strategies to improve the quality of teaching in terms of problem solving are problem-based learning, collaborative learning, the use of ethnomathematical strategies, mathematical modeling, Pólya's method.
