Abstract

Collaborative learning as virtual education presents significant advantages in higher education, however, to maximize its benefits, it is essential to address challenges related to teacher training, access to technological resources, quality, interaction, motivation, and evaluation. Therefore, the objective of this study is to analyze the effectiveness of collaborative learning in the virtual education of higher education students. For which the narrative review design was used; to avoid bias, the search and systematization was done using databases and platforms such as WoS, Scopus, Scielo, La Referencia, Redalyc, Dialnet. The search results generated according to the inclusion criteria articles published during the last 5 years on collaborative learning, generating 35 sources from which 20 articles were selected. In conclusion, the effectiveness of collaborative learning in virtual education depends on several factors, including the available technological infrastructure, student motivation and self-discipline, teacher training and support, and the quality of online communication and coordination.
