The integration of virtual classrooms in education has become a necessity for the development of students' learning and capabilities. This has been visualized after the confinement caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective of this study was to describe the reality of virtual classrooms in higher education learning. The methodology applied was the narrative review, the search was carried out in Scopus, Wos, Scielo, Dialnet, as well as in thesis databases. The search results generated were 7 scientific articles, 5 theses for a total of 11 sources to analyze. Inclusion criteria such as being directly related to the study phenomenon, information, language accessibility and antiquity were used.
