Abstract

The situation experienced during the pandemic, generated various emotional situations of fear and anxiety, increased the feeling of loss of freedom, since it was no longer possible to enjoy the physical company of others. The purpose of the study was to identify the influence of children's drawing on the regulation of emotions, an experimental type of research and a pre-experimental design with pre- and post-test with a single group. The population was constituted by 97 children, with a sample of 20 children, randomly chosen, the survey technique was used and the instrument was the questionnaire, of the anxiety scale, with 20 questions, applied to parents, who answered about the attitudes of their children, 15 drawing workshops were developed. For the analysis of the results, the chi-square 16 statistic (𝒙𝟐) was used. Reaching the conclusion, that children's drawing as a strategy helps in the regulation of emotions, as shown by the results according to the interpretation scale, going from a medium level to a high level in emotional regulation.
