Abstract

MAMANI, Julio Cesar Quispe et al. Implications of climate change in the yield of CHENOPODIUM PALLIDICAULE (cañihua) production in Lampa, Puno-Peru Region. Rev. Inv. Cs. Agro. y Vet. [online]. 2022, vol.6, n.16, pp.107-119.  Epub Mar 30, 2022. ISSN 2664-0902.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistaalfa.v6i16.153.

The objective of the research was to determine the effect of climate change on the production of Chenopodium pallidicaule (cañihua) in the Lampa production area, in the Puno-Peru region. A quantitative approach was used, applying the theoretical model of the second degree polynomial production function for the hypothesis test, using information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and the National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology of Peru. It was determined that climatic variables influence the production yield of Chenopodium pallidicaule (cañihua), by 53.68%. Relative humidity and minimum temperature are the variables that have the greatest influence on the production yield of this crop, given that a 1% increase in relative humidity and a 1 °C minimum temperature cause an increase in 15.91 kg/ha and 7.62 Kg/Ha in the production yield of Chenopodium pallidicaule (cañihua).
