Abstract
VEGA, Sleyther Arturo De La Cruz; FLORES, Cristian Milton Mendoza; VILLANUEVA, Fernando Demetrio Llatas and OYOLA, José Antonio Garrido. Erosion of riverside structures and effect on flooding in agricultural areas: A systematic review. Rev. Inv. Cs. Agro. y Vet. [online]. 2022, vol.6, n.17, pp.260-269. Epub June 27, 2022. The various erosive agents, to which the riverside protection structures are subjected, increase their magnitude more and more, due to the constant climate change and the development that occurs in the nearby towns when they want to displace the natural channels and expand the cultivation areas. Since it is an engineering object today to carry out structures that have the capacity to withstand the various loads to which they are directly subjected and moderate the effects that may occur on the riverbank. The objective is to consolidate the information about the erosion of structures and its effect on flooding in agricultural areas. The conclusions show that the study of erosion of riverside structures and its effect on flooding in agricultural areas, reveals many factors that threaten the wear and resistance that these structures may have, thus causing an imminent collapse and affecting cultivated areas, population and its inhabitants.
