The objective of this research was to find the determinants of forest production in the region of Puno, Peru, for which the quantitative, correlational and cross-sectional approach was applied, using data from the National Household Survey of the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics, of the year 2019; a sample of 408 observations was considered, with the application of the ANCOVA model. It was established that the determinants of forestry production are agricultural exploitation, livestock exploitation, worked plots, transportation expenditure and land tenure; in addition, livestock exploitation, worked plots, the use of an irrigation system and the realization of transportation expenditure have a direct influence on forestry production and agricultural exploitation and land tenure have a negative influence on forestry production in the Puno region in Perú.
