Abstract

MAMANI, Julio Cesar Quispe et al. Determining factors of avocado exports in Peru, 2008-2020. Rev. Inv. Cs. Agro. y Vet. [online]. 2022, vol.6, n.18, pp.524-536.  Epub Dec 15, 2022. ISSN 2664-0902.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistaalfa.v6i18.188.

The avocado, being one of the products with a growing demand in the international market in recent years, showed a favorable behavior in the volume of production and its export was subject to the behavior of international trade variables; The objective of the research was to identify the factors that determine avocado exports in Peru during the period 2008 - 2020, through a correlational-causal type of research, with information from the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, Central Reserve Bank of Peru, National Superintendence of Customs and Tax Administration, National Institute of Statistics and Informatics and the UN COMTRADE database, applying the multiple linear regression model and cointegration approach. The factors that determine avocado exports are national production and the average price of avocado, which explain 76.27% of avocado exports; it was established that there is no long-term relationship between the determining factors and avocado exports.
