Methodology: completely randomized block design was used for a period of nine weeks, with 4 treatments, the study population was 48 guinea pigs; males and females. Results were obtained for the control treatment T0 (63.2% ground corn + 10.5% wheat bran + 26.32% soybean cake), the highest acceptance rate in male and female guinea pigs, the feed conversion index in male guinea pigs was 7.23 kg, treatment T2 (62.5 % of corn + 10.5 % of wheat bran + 26.32 % of soybean cake) the highest acceptance rate in male and female guinea pigs. 23 kg, treatment T2 (62% discarded potato flour + 9 % wheat bran + 29 % soybean cake) the female guinea pigs was 5.52 kg obtained, treatment T3 (64% discarded potato flour + 7.7% wheat bran + 28 % soybean cake), the benefit/cost ratio had in the research of S/ 1. 70, control treatment T0 (63.2 % ground corn + 10.5 % wheat bran + 26.32 % soybean cake), the most effective treatment for weight gain was the control treatment T0 (63.2 % ground corn + 10.5 % wheat bran + 26.32 % soybean cake), the statistical evaluation was indifferent to the use of any diet where there was inclusion of discarded potato meal.
