Abstract
LEANO SANABRIA, Juan Jacobo and PEREZ BARRIGA, Deysi. Determination of Water Quality through the BMWP/BOL index (ecological bioindicators) of the Trancas River, Municipality of Entre Ríos - Tarija. RevActaNova. [online]. 2020, vol.9, n.4, pp.567-591. ISSN 1683-0789.
The purpose of this research work is to determine the quality of the water of the Trancas River through Bioindicators through the BMWP / Bol method. These waters are those that serve as water for human consumption for the city of Entre Ríos. Approximately 150 macroinvertebrate specimens were collected from which a total of 52 families were identified; where 25 correspond to Section N° 1 (Downstream) and 27 to Section N° 2 (Upstream). Corroborating the results obtained with the Guide for the evaluation of aquatic quality through the BMWO / Bol index. It was determined that the quality of the waters of the Trancas River are very good, very clean, uncontaminated waters. Very low disturbance was verified in criterion 1, in which anthropic areas are found in the Community of Moreta. In criterion 2 no disturbance was evidenced.
