Abstract The article analyzes the resignation of President Evo Morales on November 2019, as a key aspect of the loss of MAS hegemony in Bolivia. The research, through discursive analysis, identifies as key elements in the weakening of MAS hegemony, the loss of consent and trust of Bolivian civil society, as a whole, towards Evo Morales and the loss of control and obedience of the Police and the Armed Forces by the MAS government.
