Abstract

TAPIA BALTAZAR, José María. Transversality of Information and Communication Technologies in Education. Edu. Sup. Rev. Cient. Cepies [online]. 2019, vol.6, n.1, pp.11-22. ISSN 2518-8283.

Abstract Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have been progressively integrated into the educational field at all levels and in all areas of knowledge, which has led it to become a transversal competence in the 21st century education. Based on it, we inquire about the main implications of its current use and the necessary skills to be developed by both groups teachers and students, for which an initial data survey has been carried out that accounts for the frequent uses of ICT tools that the educators do, and some scientific studies which recommend the development of certain skills to ensure good performance in a world increasingly dependent on ICT tools and services. These are the elements analyzed in this research.

Keywords : Competencies; Skills; Information and Communication Technologies; Transversality.
