Abstract

RODRIGUEZ CAMEO, Elizabeth Margot. The virtual teaching learning community and educational quality in public educational institutions for girls. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2024, vol.8, n.33, pp.820-833.  Epub Apr 02, 2024. ISSN 2616-7964.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v8i33.765.

Virtual Learning Communities (VLC), by strengthening teaching competencies and the exchange of digital resources, contribute to improve educational quality (EC). The objective of the research was to analyze the use of teaching AVCs and their action on EC in three female public educational institutions in Tacna, Peru. The research was basic, qualitative and case study. Structured interviews and observation sheets were applied to fifteen teachers and three directors. The categories AVC and EC were prioritized, with data analysis through theoretical triangulation. The results indicate that the use of AVC strengthens digital competencies in teachers. Collaborative work is based on interactive communication that involves sharing digital resources to strengthen teaching, promoting CE in the knowledge society through virtual education. AVCs are spaces of knowledge to be considered in educational reform.
