VIERA PRADA, Lily Isabel. Psychomotricity in the development of literacy in early childhood education. Documentary Review. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2024, vol.8, n.33, pp.1108-1121. Epub Apr 02, 2024. ISSN 2616-7964. https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v8i33.786.
Psychomotor skills in the development of reading and writing skills is a widely accepted approach in the educational process. The objective of the research work was to analyze the studies on the existing link between psychomotor skills and the development of reading and writing processes. The methodology had a qualitative approach, using the PRISMA guide for the identification, selection and varied analysis of research available between 2012 and 2022, in the Scopus, Google Scholar, Concytec, ESBCO and ProQuest databases. As a conclusion, the transcendence of psychomotor skills for the learning of reading and writing was evidenced, especially at the early education level, influencing the integral growth of the human being, both individually and socially.
