Social support plays a crucial role in students' academic performance and overall well-being. This study aimed to describe the social support provided to students by organizations in Latin America. A systematic review was conducted using the PRISMA statement, with databases such as Scielo, SCOPUS, Redalyc, and DOAJ. Search results yielded a total of 822 studies, of which 18 were selected following inclusion and exclusion criteria. Findings showed that social support in schools and families improves not only academic outcomes but also other related areas, such as decreasing dropout rates and promoting overall mental health. This review underscores the importance of social support for students in Latin America and highlights the need for interventions to strengthen it.
