Today´s society is witnessing a significant change of times. Its main characteristic is the presence of multiservice access platforms on screen which, by boosting interactivity, are increasingly mediating the relationships of social individuals. For some, these new conditions would indicate the attainment of communication´s democratization, longed for over the last decades to promote development. However, the inclusion of the (critical) political variable in the analysis of this reality makes us doubt this given that, once more, the presence of the instrumental reasoning that prevents seeing the multiple differences and imbalances (digital gap) that still prevail between regions is made evident. Such gaps, for example, are observed in the field of education.
