This article summarizes an extensive systematization study on PIEB’s advocacy work and contributions over the course of two decades of institutional life. The study looks at the relevance of the knowledge produced through the research supported by PIEB; the impact of the training programmes associated with the calls for research proposals and the work done by the Postgraduate University for Strategic Research (U-PIEB); and the part played by a series of different activities grouped by their contribution to research sustainability.
