The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the lives of people around the world, and migrants have been no exception. In Argentina, migrants, especially women, have faced additional challenges, such as mandatory social isolation, the economic crisis and discrimination. This article explores the situation of being a female master’s student doing a research thesis on migrants, being a migrant in times of mandatory social isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The article is based on the personal experience of the author, who is a Bolivian migrant who is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Latin American Labor Studies at the University of Buenos Aires.
