Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum), a vegetable of high consumption in the world and particularly in Ecuador. New hybrids with better agronomic characteristics, resistance to adverse biotic and abiotic factors, and high yields are constantly being generated, so the objective of this research was to evaluate and select tomato hybrids for their agronomic characteristics and high yield potential. The experiment was implemented in a 1000 m2 greenhouse, where the treatments were arranged in a row and column experimental design with 8 treatments and 8 replications. The treatments were the tomato hybrids: E 25.33808 (Paipai), E 26.39770, E 15 B.50206 (Baikonur), E 15 B.50142 (Itaipu), E. 27.34021 (Vento), E 27.33243 (Forenza), Pietro and Alambra. The response variables were: plant height, stem diameter, and fruit weight. The results indicate that the highest tomato yield was obtained with the hybrid Alambra with an average tomato weight of 176.61 g, a hybrid that adapted well to the greenhouse conditions of Puerto la Boca. However, the Itaipu hybrid was one of the best tomatoes in terms of agronomic characteristics and market preference, and had a good plant height to stem diameter ratio.
