ALANOCA LEON, María del Carmen. Emotional Intelligence Program To Improve The Teaching-Learning Process of The English Language in Teaching and Translation of Languages CETI - UMSA 2019. Edu. Sup. Rev. Cient. Cepies [online]. 2019, vol.6, n.2, pp.13-24. ISSN 2518-8283.

Abstract English is a globalized language, it is necessary to practice and speak it, but it is also an instrument for the student to express openly feelings, identifying his/her emotions, the causes of the latter, being able to find possible solution, and using the language to feel, think and act on the obstacles that life puts in your way with a positive mind, for young and old people who go through physical and emotional changes. This research work proposes an Emotional Intelligence Program to improve the Teaching - Learning Process (PE-A) of the English language through the Communicative Approach in which the emotional development of the student is taking into account the 4 Emotional Intelligence skills developed by the authors Mayer and Salovey: perception (identifying emotions), facilitation (identifying the causes), understanding (reflection) and emotional regulation (identifying possible solutions). These are developed by the 4 linguistic abilities how to speak, read, write and listen, which ultimately served as therapy for the student during the TLP This way of teaching breaks with the usual, working with knowledge but at the same time teaching students to know how to react with their emotional intelligence, so that the student feels strengthened not only with the language but also with the control of his/her emotions.
