Resilience characteristics are understood as behaviors carried out in difficult situations, abilities or capacities to cope, recover or adequately resolve, adverse situations, traumatic situations, individual or social community risk, it is a component of adequate psychosocial adaptation and is associated with mental health. The research reveals an approach to the resilience characteristics of community leaders in the city of El Alto in the face of Covid-19. A community resilience scale and interviews with community leaders were used for data collection. According to the data obtained, the community leaders of El Alto: They act for the collective good, they are happy to live in their community, they know how to recognize that they can improve instead of blaming others for the problems, they look for alternatives to overcome problems, they think about how to solve problems among all, they are facing the adverse situations that arise in the face of Covid-19, with strength, serenity, encouragement, following health protocols, becoming aware, with values ​​of solidarity, strength, empathy, resilience, valuing life and with faith in God. On the other hand, they also express emotions and thoughts linked to anxiety, worry, sadness, depression, despair, frustration, fear, fear, thoughts of helplessness, anger, annoyance; But an important fact is that in turn, they express resilient characteristics in their emotions and thoughts such as: hope, joy, indicating that they must learn to live with the virus and that they will soon emerge from this adverse circumstance stronger than before the pandemic.
