Abstract Currently, combined strategies are required to minimize the environmental impact of anthropogenic activities. The objective of this study was to evaluate the co-composting of urban so lid waste, caprinaza and biochar for the treatment in nursery of soil of mine collection of the department of Cesar. The methodology included the physicochemical and microbio lo gical analysis of soil before and after the co-compost was applied in the nursery and the support of Brachiaria and Caesalpinia ebano. The properties of co-compos and its favorable effect on soil indicate a high potential for restoration processes withthe benefit of the use of urban and rural so lid waste.
