Abstract The objective of this work was to describe and interpret Artificial Intelligence (AI) in relation to the dismissal of workers due to the automation of companies with AI. The research used the qualitative approach and inter-pretive phenomenological design. The unstructured and documentary interview technique was used. The results indicate that business groups and companies with greater economic power are introducing AI to im-prove theiroperations; more its use will become more profitable in the coming years. In addition, Peruvian labor legislation is insufficient to regulate AI. On the other hand, the Peruvian State has issued a proposal forAI policies (2021), howeverthe study considers it strategicthat it implement and develop joint policies in education and work on AI so that the Peruvian worker is better predisposed when its use become extensive
