Resumen

GUIZADO, Giomar Arturo Shiguay; RIVAS, Gloria Maney Hu  y  RIOJA, Ricardo De La Cruz. Mathematical Thinking: The 5 pillars of teacher training in sciences. Horizontes Rev. Inv. Cs. Edu. [online]. 2022, vol.6, n.23, pp.713-724.  Epub 02-Jun-2022. ISSN 2616-7964.  https://doi.org/10.33996/revistahorizontes.v6i23.371.

Mathematical thinking in its multiple dimensions and capabilities allows analyzing, systematizing, inferring, abstracting and interpreting information; even postulating theories to reach the solution of a real context problem with high cognitive demand. However, all this is still not effectively developed in many of the educational programs at the basic and higher levels in Peru and Latin America. The purpose of the research emphasizes the importance of the development of mathematical thinking and to identify the components or pillars of mathematical thinking that should be considered in the university training of science teachers. The methodology used was the systematic review, 22 documents were selected under the search criteria between thesis and review articles as original, from the following databases: Google Scholar, Scielo, Latindex and Dialnet. It was concluded that the development of thinking is framed in the five pillars: numerical thinking, spatial and geometric thinking, metric thinking, random thinking, variational thinking and algebraic systems, fundamental for an optimal science teacher training.

Palabras clave : Numerical thinking; Spatial and geometric thinking; Metric thinking; Random thinking; Variational and algebraic systems thinking.
