The drop in prices during the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020. In the comparison of the averages of the two periods before the Multiparty Trade Agreement and after the MCA, it was evident that there is a decrease of 0.39%, which is not statistically significant but there is no increase that would be expected following the signing of the agreement. To end in 2019, the European Union imported cocoa and its processed products from the world for USD 27.375.151.000 and Ecuador sold it USD 215.730.000, that is, Ecuador has a share of 0.788%.
